The House

The distinctive brand of the Azores tourism is its nature of exception, in a destination perceived as an unspoilt, authentic and safe.

The Azores – and in particular the destination São Miguel – present a gap in the medium high/superior nature allocation segment.

This retreat venue intends to respond to this gap, through a premium accommodation, located in the nature and facing the sea, designed and developed for the deepening of the "Azores experience" and based on the authenticity and quality of a product of proximity, with high standards of comfort and exclusivity, resulting from rehabilitated buildings, belonging to an old farmhouse. It is an accommodation that is unique by its architecture, decoration and service.

Accommodation

From our smallest room, the Casa Grande Top Room at 20m² to the largest space, the Atlantic Deluxe Villa at 70m² you will find all of the comforts of home.

Every room is outfitted with deluxe bedding and all of the amenities you expect from a luxury hotel.

Several of the rooms have skylights in the bathrooms which flood the space with a soft, natural glow. All rooms have beautiful views either to our gardens, the nearby countryside or the ocean. In addition to the main pool facing the ocean, seven of the rooms have private plunge pools. No matter which room you choose a sense of peace and tranquility comes standard.

In the building where the outdoor kitchen and the "old oven" operated is the Atlantic Exclusive Villa. The old kitchen space has been converted into a living and dining room and the old oven into a small equipped and modern kitchen.

The building has been enlarged to allow the integration of a bedroom and a bathroom.

This villa features a private garden contributing to the hotel's sense of exclusivity.

16 rooms are located in the building that served in times of stableand agricultural support to the property, and arranged around an interior courtyard with garden (the cloisters).

All rooms in this building have private decks and an outdoor fireplace with bioethanol, 4 of the rooms are connecting and 7  also have a small swimming pool and a dragon tree, a plant that is considered a living fossil and that is protected in the Azores.

In the main building are situated 4 bedrooms, 1 on the ground floor and 3 on the 1st floor, from where you can enjoy a superb view of the countryside and or sea.

Brief history & Facility

Old summer house, consisting of 4 pre-existing buildings, which were carefully recovered, with respect to the pre-existing architecture.

In this house, once belonging to the Raposo do Amaral family, the flag of the autonomy of the Azores was flown more than a hundred years ago.

All buildings are ground floor except for the main building which has 3 bedrooms situated on the first floor
